- New 280,000 sq. ft. Warehouse / Production Facilities / Fleet Maintenance / Pump station
Cadiz and Cadiz Architects designed and managed the construction of the 280,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Downey for Coca-Cola. The project required extensive coordination with the City and Union Pacific Rail Road to help ensure the coordination for the construction and installation of the spur line for sugar and sweetner delivery.
Another project administered by Cadiz and Cadiz Architects was a new production line for in-house manufacturing of plastic bottles for Coca-Cola beverages. The new Blow Mold equipment required new compressors, cooling towers, and a pre-form storage area. The project involved facility improvements, including new concrete floors, drains, lighting, upgrading of fire sprinkler system, painting, enclosing the compressor room, construction of a platform for the cooling tower, etc. The Client’s major concern was to undergo construction within the existing building that manufactures the Coca-Cola products. Therefore, special attention was given to phasing of the project and utilizing BMP's while working at the food – sterile establishment.
